And yes, I realize it was scripted. These shows must have been terrible for self-esteem. We watched as the guy or girl went out with parent-approved dates, and at the end of the show, the guy or girl had to pick who they liked best to keep dating.

The show followed two people going on a blind date while the behind-the-scenes creative team added weird thought bubbles, captions and animations over everything. Well, Nicole was hilarious. They didn't really do anything, everyone just tore each apart trying to win.

The Osbournes was an endlessly entertaining reality show about an unconventional looking family that was actually kind of normal. Actually, I don't even care, I'll still love it despite what you say. Room Raiders Room Raiders was a different kind of dating show. So many quotes came out of this show. But they all went about it in different ways, and each show was more ridiculous than the next.

The Osbournes I'm not sure why The Osbournes got their own reality show, but I don't think we really need a reason. Taildaters Taildaters was the show that inspired Exposed. It was a gem, and you need to watch it if you never have.

Even though Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie came across as the most vapid, shallow, ignorant, ridiculous girls in America, they were also really hilarious together. It's a miracle these two didn't last. Next Next was another obviously scripted show that featured a bus full of contestants competing for the affection of one person.

The show only lasted two short seasons, but it lives on in our hearts. Also, these two were ridiculous in the best way.

Blind Date was hilarious and wacky to watch. Then they got married, and this reality show was born. It was vaguely stalkerish and kind of creepy, but also endlessly amusing. It was kind of hilarious, and kind of awesome that dates weren't chosen based on looks. This fifth person was there solely to shake things up and try to steal someone from someone else.

At the end of the show, the contestant had to pick someone to date based on their bedroom, without seeing any pictures of the person. Nick and Jessica, came this show, about Carmen Electra and Dave Navarro getting ready for their wedding. Three contestants sat in a van, where they watched one contestant go through their bedrooms. Now I want to binge-watch it while wearing Juicy Couture sweatsuits and Uggs. No one could believe that there were girls out there who were so spoiled, selfish, and completely self-absorbed.

That was pretty lame, because it was so obviously scripted. The Hills The Hills is my number one favorite reality show of all time, so I really don't want to hear any hate. It was basically real life. The Simple Life I was determined to hate The Simple Life when it started, but when I watched it just to make fun of it, I realized that it was basically the most addictive reality show ever. It was ridiculous, because you really can't judge a person based on their parent, but that didn't make it any less fun to watch.

The girls were almost as vapid and ridiculous as Paris and Nicole, but the show didn't become nearly as popular. Basically absolutely nothing happened on Laguna Beach, except so much happened and it was all so interesting to watch. Oh, and also a montage of these girls eating at expensive restaurants.
